The Mission

To envision, design, and develop a campaign celebrating Leo's most recent success, winnning "La Copa America", to push forward and expand The Messi Brand and The Messi Store. The main focus was to designing a series of postcards with emblematic designs of Leo's career, to be given away for free. This also required the design and development of a landing page in order for the customer to reliably aquire the postcards. The main purpose of this project was to expand the brand, gain new customers, and test the marketability of The Messi Brand.

Sketches

The first step was to create a landing page that would display and sell the postcards. There was no need to create a site map for this project since we only required one page. The idea was to make the entire process seamless. That's why we decided to make a page that contained both the product display as well as the checkout. Having a hybrid page like this makes it easier for the customer and avoids any potential

Low Fidelity

The low fidelity wireframe needed for this project was very straight forward. One single landing page that included both the product and the checkout.

Style Guide

This style guide was created using the brand guidelines of "The Messi Brand", taking into consideration that this is a relatively new brand, it was important to keep in line with their aesthetic, so the customers would learn to quickly identify the brand just by looking at the design elements and visuals on the landing page.

Finishing The Design

Using "The Messi Brand" guidelines and aesthetic, I moved on to create the high fidelity wireframe. This prototype was sent to and reviewed by stakeholders to make sure everything was in order before the development process started.

Rejected Designs

The postcard design process was very complex. There were a lot of do's and dont's, several guidelines to follow, and multiple rounds of revisions to ensure everything was ready for print. The reason these were rejected was because of legal issues, showing extertnal brands, logos and similarities. We were told that even though they liked the designs, it was risky to use them as they could present legal problems.

Final Product

After multiple rounds of designs and revisions, the stakeholders chose three designs to be the final product and that would be printed out. These were picked-out from the batch of "rejected" designs, and were modified so no other logos were present in product to avoid any potential legasl issues. A set of media posts were also cerated, displaying the postcards so they could be posted on launch day to Facebook and Instagram. One set for The Messi Store page and another for Leo Messi's personal

Social Media Posts

Here you can see a brief animation of multiple social media designs that I also created that were posted to The Messi Store and Leo's accounts. You can see one of them here

Postalcard Prints

The postcards were delivered a couple of weeks after the promotion period ended. Here you can see the actual prints I personally received in all their glory.

Further Work

After the project ended, The Messi Brand team requested further help on some minor creatives which I got to work on. This mainly consisted of new designs for social media, specifically for their Facebook and Instagram accounts.

Let's work together!
